Project Description

The project aims to empower and develop vulnerable women by providing them with the means to produce, store and market their own agricultural products, thereby enabling them to gain economic independence and strengthen their social status.

Through this project, beneficiary women will receive production kits and agricultural equipment, they will learn sustainable agricultural production techniques, storage and preservation of products, as well as effective marketing strategies. They will thus be able to improve their skills and knowledge, increase their production and income, and increase their access to local and regional markets. The project also includes training in financial management, leadership and women's rights, to strengthen women's capacities to manage their own economic activities and defend their rights. In short, this project aims to transform vulnerable women into autonomous and fulfilled economic actors, capable of taking charge of their own development and contributing to the well-being of their community.

Humanitarian crises, whether caused by conflict, natural disasters or mass displacement, have a devastating impact on communities, particularly on women. Women often face increased challenges in accessing resources, education and economic opportunities. This project aims to address these needs by establishing a sustainable, long-term initiative to support the economic empowerment of women in the following beneficiary categories: internally displaced persons, refugees, returnees and host populations.

The direct beneficiaries of the project are 100 vulnerable women (internally displaced persons, refugees and returnees from the Far North region) and the indirect beneficiaries are members of the communities of the different departments in which the project operates.
